• Develop necessary Quality-related documentation during the initial phases of the new product launch process and maintain that documentation throughout the life of the program.
• Establish inspection and test instructions to assure compliance with customer Engineering Standards and specifications.
• Led Quality teams composed of 4 Quality Engineers, 3 Quality Supervisors, 4 CMM technicians, 9 Quality Auditors, 40 Quality Inspectors.
• Coordinate the development and submission of PPAP documentation and participate in the APQP process for new product launches as well as for products undergoing engineering changes.
• Facilitate corrective action using 8D and the Toyota Production System scientific problem-solving methodologies.
• Serve as the quality representative on several Product Business teams, perform internal quality systems audits, and interface with suppliers to address quality issues.
• Participated on new product development and extension/enhancement teams to ensure deliverables including control plans, capability studies, dimensional verification reports, gage R&R and various other PPAP activities.
• Lead quality issue resolution and continuous improvement activities utilizing the 8D methodology.
• Additional responsibilities included facilitating corrective action initiatives as well as developing/maintaining plant quality procedures, work instructions, and quality documents.
