We are pleased to be working with a hands-on Quality Engineer with 20+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment. His exceptional experience is across automotive, aerospace, electronics, and commercial products manufacturing. He is a trained auditor and has inspection personnel training and supervising experience. He is trained and has performed APQP in Japan. He started his career in machining before moving into quality. He has initiated quality systems from scratch and has improved processes to reduce scrap and the cost of quality!
He resigned from his last Quality role to care for his terminally ill wife. He is now looking to return to work. His skills, education, and experience make him a great addition to any quality team. His notable experience includes:
• Responsible for plant supplier quality of a contract manufacturer of military products for customers like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.
• Work with supplier on corrective action of nonconformance material.
• Responsible for supplier approvals/certification, onsite audits.
• Establish PPAP requirements for new products material.
• Trained receiving inspection personnel on using measuring equipment for inspection purposes.
• Lead/facilitate 8D’s and Quality Alerts.
• Responsible for Internal audit management, Audit Teams, and Internal Audit Schedule
• Investigate root cause of the non-conforming products, develop and implement corrective/preventive actions to prevent re-occurrences.
• Assist and support APQP, PPAP, 8D, AND 5Y as needed
• Established standard inspection/acceptance criteria between customer and supplier which assisted in PPM reduction.
• Developed quality control plans that included part, process, and functional industrial qualification requirements.
• Reviewed FFR and established goals for improvement and maintaining minimal PPM defect performance.
• Developed PPAP for all new product designs.
• Insured tool capability studies are conducted and satisfied requirements.
• Prepared incoming inspection plans and insured that these plans are explained and communicated to operations.
• Implemented/drove the first article, non-conformance, and corrective action procedure.
