Maintenance Manager (212482) Steel, Foundry, Chemicals Manufacturing / Will Relo

Talented Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Manager with 18+ years of experience in steel, coking, and chemicals manufacturing. He is skilled with a broad variety of equipment and methods including furnaces, coking ovens, high voltage, substations, transformers, conveyors, PLCs, and more. He is experienced in leading teams of up to 80 people in a union multicraft maintenance and managing outside contractors. He uses thermography and vibration analysis in his maintenance practices and he is NFPA70 arc flash trained.

He is currently employed as a Maintenance Supervisor but is interested in exploring a new opportunity. His motivation is that he is wanting to get back into leading a production/operations-focused maintenance team as he currently is responsible for facilities maintenance managing teams of contractors that ranges between 50 to 100 people. • Supervise 57 employees that fill all the trades’ positions of Mechanics, Electricians, Electronic Repair, Refrigeration, PEC (environmental), Central door repair, Car shop, etc.
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages for vendors.
• Maintain time, production, and cost records in an ERP/Oracle-based system
• I direct workers in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, which includes the Fuel, Air, and Water Department.
• Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment including PLC logic issues
• Requisition spare parts and coordinate downtime for installation of the same
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product – Continuous Improvement
• Forklift maintenance and repair for a fleet of 12 fork trucks, including Linde, Hyster, Komatsu, and Nissan
Successfully eliminated 50% of all preventable breakdowns, which resulted in a 40% associated cost reduction.
• PLC: Working knowledge and troubleshooting of both Allen Bradley PLCs and Siemens PLCs, installed new or as replacements. Experienced with AB PLC 3, PLC 5, Slc 500, and the newer 5000 series. RS Logix for all. Experienced with Siemens – a variety of models also Simantic manager. Participated in upgrading to the latest and greatest versions, Programming, and troubleshooting. etc.
• HMI and Level 2 interfaces – Troubleshooting and programming.
• Thermography: Completed online training in the use of thermography as a predictive maintenance tool
• Vibration Analysis: Familiar with vibration analysis techniques as a predictive maintenance tool
• Profibus communications – Troubleshooting, New installations, Plc interfaces
• Electrical: New installations, upgrading older installations to code, preventative maintenance on electrical panels, Instrumentation, and controls, troubleshooting equipment such as cranes, workstations, process lines, PLCs

• Operation Outward Reach | CURRICULUM: Masonry and general construction in a hands-on learning environment. Construction practices and theories including planning, preparations, material ordering, and job completion
• Tech Memorial Adult Education | CURRICULUM: Stationary engineering and related principles and practices related to the steam boiler trades. Licensed 2nd Class Engineer registered with the city of Erie.
• ACD | CURRICULUM: S7 System tools and troubleshooting. This is a course designed to teach the principles and techniques for troubleshooting logic issues within a Siemens PLC, with a primary focus on the S7/400 series PLC, which also covered all of Siemens PLC’s. Additionally, covered the Programming 1 course. Certificate received.
• Blue Mountain Environmental CURRICULUM: Permit required Confined Space training as per Osha reg 29 CFR 1010.146
• Applied Health Physics CURRICULUM: Radiation Safety Awareness for authorized users. As per NUREG – 1556, Volume 4, Appendix G
• Infrared Training Center CURRICULUM: Online courses – IR25 Flir T Series Basics – camera operations, report generation, report interpretations, TH20 Introduction to indoor electrical surveys using Ir Thermography, Thermography as a predictive maintenance tool on high voltage equipment.
