Houston based Quality Manager with 20 years of experience supporting manufacturing assembly, stamping, extrusion, injection molding and blow molding operations in the Automotive, Electronics, Packaging, and Medical Products industries. He has a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. He is skilled in all aspects of quality both internal and supplier quality best practices. He has led and managed teams of 8 to 10 across multiple locations. he has some impressive wins that improved processes and the bottom line for his employers. • Represented quality assurance in design review (pilot run) of new or resigned products.
• Optimized the First Pass Yield % (FPY) on the remote-control products from 67 % to 95 % by collecting and analyzing daily data in order to determine the top ten quality issues.
• Led a team of 8.
• Achieved a reduction of waste from 10% to 4 % by performing and managing product trial activities.
• Developed Standard Operating Condition (SOC) to improve efficiency, maintaining consistent results.
• Reduced the annual percentage of rejection from 2,47 % to 0.18 % achieving customer expectation (2011- scorecard report –Target= 0.17).
• Increased the annual SC Johnson Company Quality Assurance Audit score from 2.0 to 3.9, bringing the plant to Excellent Status.
