• Responsible for the following departments: Plant engineering, Hot Rolling Mill maintenance, Finishing Mill maintenance, Infrastructure maintenance, and Warehouse management.
• Budget and forecasting responsibility of approx. $17 M. annually.
• Warehouse management responsibilities for over $20M in spares parts and tooling.
• Responsible for driving a safety-first culture within the organization. Recently achieved 1 million hours without a lost time incident surpassing the industry standard by encouraging ownership in all we do.
• Responsible for plant wide OEE improvements year over year through detailed analysis and leading multiple improvement teams to optimize efficiency, yield, and reduce downtime.
• Lead 5S and root cause analysis plant wide using team member workshops to encourage employee engagement and solution ownership.
• Experienced in designing, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automation systems to include electrical drawings with AutoCAD, specification of parts and equipment, panel design and installation, simulation testing, and factory acceptance testing.
• Extensive PLC and HMI programming experience with RS Logix 5/500/5000, Siemens Step 7, RSVIEW 32, Wonderware System Platform, GE IFIX and Siemens Win CC.
• Familiar with numerous communication protocols such as ProfNet, Profibus, ControlNet, DH485, and DH+.
• Experience with several types of drives including ABB ACS800 multidrives, ACS6000 medium voltage drives, Allen Bradley Powerflex Drives and Siemens Micromaster drives.
• Experienced commissioning new equipment in a variety of industries such as Seamless tube rolling and finishing, PVC batching and extrusion, Composite decking batching and extrusion, Water treatment, and materiel handling.
• Responsible for creating training documents for operators along with troubleshooting documents for maintainers and providing on-site training for shift personnel.
• Responsible to assist the USAF customer on all matters pertaining to maintenance, inspection, logistics and operation of the C-5A/B/C aircraft.
• Assisted the USAF with troubleshooting, repair, modification and inspection of the C-5 aircraft.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Support home office and Lockheed Martin engineering departments.
• Saved operations during COVID via strategic realignment
• Developed the Benteler PIP program with German counterparts to train local U.S. techs
