Maintenance Manager (140071) AS Electronic Technology / Foundry, Paper, Packaging / High Voltage, DCS, PLC Programming, Automation, Instrumentation, Conveyors

PA Based Maintenance Manager with 20+ years of experience supporting foundry and paper industries. He has an AS in Electronic Technology and has completed multiple industry-related trainings. He has led Maintenance teams of up to 17. His expertise includes Arc furnaces, melt furnaces, substations, transformers, conveyors, power distribution, and much more. He is currently employed with a conveyor company but is very interested in exploring new Maintenance Manager opportunities. His leadership skills and industry and equipment experience make him a strong candidate for any manufacturing operation.

• Development of PLC/HMI standards for a pneumatic conveying company.
• Assist with startups and specifications of new equipment.
• Mentoring and training new hires in startup procedures, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Management of 10 electricians and 5 instrument techs, including technical training of the maintenance personnel.
• Manage high-voltage electrical maintenance on an annual basis, including transformer testing and trip relay testing.

• Manage high-voltage electrical maintenance on an annual basis, including transformer testing and trip relay testing.
• Responsible for managing capital, and Major Maintenance budgets, along with the monthly/yearly maintenance budgets.
• Management of large- and small-scale electrical projects for increased mill capacity, and managing two paper machines, and a wastewater treatment facility.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining preventative maintenance routes, along with increased reliability and developing root cause failure analysis.
• Management of a team of 14 including the electrical supervisor, and planner.
• Manage four-week shutdown schedules including work order generation, and creating Microsoft project schedules for two departments. Implement and install DCS as well as drive upgrades for obsolesce. Implement a motor repair program with checks on all specifications for belt, vertical and direct drive applications.
• Prioritize and order spare parts as needed.
• Work with DCS and PLC automated systems, train electricians and instrument people on updated practices and procedures.
• Timekeeping for union employees, and daily scheduling of work.
• Design, set-up, and implementation of Valmet Damatic XD Distributed Control Systems.
• Managing several new installation projects, supervising all Valmet personnel on site.
• Worked on all aspects of the foundry, from wax injection machines for investment castings to the preventative maintenance of the melt department.
• Implemented early PLC controls and troubleshot Inductotherm Melting Furnaces.
• Responsible for normal day-to-day repairs, and new projects including water blast machines for ceramic material removal.
