• Experience and knowledge with DCS (Delta V, Honeywell, Foxboro) and SIS (Triconix), Bently Nevada vibration monitoring, SCADA Sys., and PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley – ControlLogix / GuardLogix & CompactLogix) LadderLogic/Function Block Diagram programming & configuration for process instrumentation & controls.
• Experience and knowledge in internetworking (routing, switching, IP addressing, etc.) including Fiber Optics (Single mode/multi-mode) and CAT5e/6 communication cables installation.
• Experience and knowledge with Gas chromatographs (GC), total organic carbon (TOC), continuous gas (CGA) analyzers and sample conditioning systems (SCS).
• Expertise in CADD MICROSTATION, AUTOCAD , INSTRUCALC, SKM – Power Systems Analysis, MS Office & MS Project.
• Familiar with Electrical and Instrumentation standards (ISA, NEC, API, NFPA, & NEMA).
• Experience and knowledge in Fire & Gas instrumentation and LNG Leak Detection system using Fiber Optic DTS.
• Developed Piping & Instrumentation Diag. (P&ID) with Process Engineers.
• Created Excel Database for Instrument & I/O List link from ACAD Data Extraction.
• Integrate Main Control Panel with PLC Allen-Bradley 1756 ControlLogix/GuardLogix & 5370 Compact Logix Components such as Power supplies, HMI PanelView Plus, Controllers, I/O Modules, Terminal Blocks, Ethernet Switch, Wireless Gateways, Field Link & Surge protection.
• Sizing for PSVs/TSVs as per process data and checking flanged sizes per API 526 and creating datasheets in SPI and sent to the vendor for a quote and final sizing.
• Creating instrument datasheets and performing sizing for Control Valves, Flow Elements (Orifice Plates, Restriction Orifice), using INSTRUCALC & Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) and sent to vendor for quotation.
• Coordinate with mechanical & electrical for the pumps, motors, compressors or rotating equipments to be monitored for MMS-System One, as part of the design development, equipment, sensors, switches and cabinet count for vendor can do the MMS final sizing.
• Lead Instrumentation and Control sys. Engineer for CITGO CT3 Cooling tower Basin project.
• Overall checker for all in-line (controls valves, relief valves, on-off valves, flow meters/elements) and off-line instrument data sheets including vendor supplied instruments Technical Bid evaluation (TBE).
• Supports P&ID development, instrument index, instrument I/O list, cause and effect for process instrumentation/fire & gas and material requisition (MRQ) and procurement activities.
