Controls Engineer (84672) BSEE, AS / PLC, HMI, Robotics, VFD, Motor Drive, Hydraulic, Pneumatic / Programming, Installation, Troubleshooting / Orlando FL area

He has worked both contract and perm roles and can work independently or as part of a team. His versatility, broad application experience, and automation skills make him a strong addition to any manufacturing team looking to automate their processes. This is an experienced Controls Engineer who can hit the floor running! He is looking at opportunities in the Orlando FL area. His notable experience includes:

• Specify and incorporate sub-system components.
• Create an electrical Bill Of Materials (BOM) with cost estimates.
• Create PLC (ladder logic) programs for original control systems or to update/improve existing systems.
• Create PC-based control systems using National Instruments’ LabWindows/CVI application.
• Create user interface (HMI) programs.
• Program AC and DC motor drive controllers.
• National and international travel to support installation and/or machine troubleshooting at customer facilities.
• Perform customer acceptance trials, initial installation, and system startup for new systems.
? Train machine operators and maintenance personnel.
• Plan/conduct formal and informal, technical training for customer engineers and maintenance personnel.
• Extensive troubleshooting and component level repair, replacing diodes, resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits, on printed circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot programming in ladder logic, C language, and Visual Basic programs.
• Troubleshoot 230/460 VAC (single and three-phase) up to 2,400 kVA power circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair DC power and AC/DC control circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic machine functions.
• Extensive debug and troubleshooting of microprocessor embedded circuitry/control boards.
• Extensive assembly, test, and packaging sequence programming.
• Supervise/direct electricians assembling new machines or troubleshooting existing systems.
• Supervise/direct maintenance personnel assembling new machines or troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Supervise/direct/train electronic technicians assembling new control systems, troubleshooting existing systems, repairing
• electronic circuit boards, or repairing electrical circuitry/components.
