Projects include wastewater system redesign, DCS and SCADA facility data system redesign, Process Safety Management system redesign,
• Provide support through operations planning through the administration of proper execution and scheduling for all maintenance work and reliability engineering activities at Kaneka North America (KNA).
• Supervise the activities of Maintenance and Engineering Superintendents/Supervisors, and all planning and scheduling.
• Collaborate with our manufacturing centers in Japan, Belgium, and Malaysia to assure the highest production quality through standardized maintenance and engineering practices.
• Modernized KNA’s electrical infrastructure from high voltage (138kv) to low voltage (120v) with state-of-the-art transformers, motor control centers and SCADA monitoring and controls meeting or exceeding NFPA arc flash, OSHA, and ERCOT (ISO) requirements.
• EHS/HSE, achieved a Lost Time Accident / Incident Rate of 0.0 for two consecutive years, using the OSHA VPP Program.
• Transformed contractual activities and relations between union and non-union employee groups, as well as vendor relationships.
• Specialized engineering activities and projects included leading an effort to design, configure, validate, install, and test a new EMERSON Ovation distributed control system (DCS). Recognized expertise in NERC/FRCC compliance programs.
• Reduced repair and maintenance spend from $17M to $10.3M in three years,
• Reduced inventory from $6M to $2.5M in 3 years
• Increased facility availability from 88% to 93% in the same 3 years, from 2002 through 2005.
